CMV Poolside Paradise Premiere Party
Casa Mira View (CMV) is the largest luxury apartment community in San Diego, CA. Desiree was the lead coordinator for this event and her role was to create the concept for the event, coordinate marketing, logistics, and execute operations for the grand opening of their new amenities. As a result of her efforts, over 375 residents attended the event and participated in our activities. The Wonderland-like multi-activity event concept for the event was created so that residents could truly feel like they were stepping into paradise! At our info booth, residents received a ‘Welcome Lei’ and a ‘Paradise Passport’ where they would travel to different amenities and collect stamps for a chance to win cool prizes! Over 30 giveaways were provided to winners from the raffle which was sponsored by AT&T, Mission Fed, Mahalo Shaved Ice, Big City Dogz and Move True Fitness.

A designer was hired to create the flyer based on Desiree’s guidance and Desiree created the ‘Paradise Passport’. Three dedicated emails were sent out to the community – an initial invitation about a week prior to the event, a small blurb in their ‘This Week at CMV’ email, and a 24-hour reminder email with snapshots of the various activities that would be taking place. These three emails resulted in 6,297 opens collectively which resulted in a 68% average open rate.

An activity called, “Intention Planting” was created to encourage using the garden space amenity for relaxation in the future. One of CMV’s recreation attendants encouraged residents to grab some ‘magical seeds’, plant them in the soil bin, and were given a tag to write down what they would like to accomplish this year. Desiree also included some community composting flyers at this booth for residents to take home.

A Sip & Splash party was created around the pool to encourage fun in the sun! One of CMV’s coordinators managed the mocktail bar poolside where we featured the ‘Cascada Punch’ and an open-format DJ, Erwin Ramos who played music all day long from CMV’s DJ Tower. The kids loved the splash pad and the adults loved relaxing nearby on the cabanas!

In partnership with Move True, Desiree created a basketball clinic where resident could learn the fundamental of basketball, followed by two contests – a Jump Shot Jam and a Three-Point Shoot Out that tested both beginner and advanced playing skills which was extremely popular throughout the day.

The food vendors, Big City Dogz and Mahalo Shaved Ice were positioned on and near the multi-purpose green area and did very well in terms of business. Desiree also put up a canopy nearby where residents could sit picnic style and put out games like cornhole so that they could connect and play with one another.

Sponsors were given an opportunity to table at this event - AT&T, Mission Fed, and Lil Miss Pets and were set up along the sidewalk between the Rebound Basketball Court and The Green with snacks and goodies to give away and ready to stamp passports as they stopped by! Sponsors also had a chance to speak on the microphone about their services right before she did the giveaways.
